On 25 June, Jaroslav Mysiak, project coordinator of NATURANCE, delivered a talk at the Third Global Meeting of Regional STAGs, organized by the United Nations Office for Disaster Risk Reduction (UNDRR).
His speech, titled “Understand risk creation and perpetuation in the contemporary risk landscape: systemic, cascading and complex risks and address inequalities, injustices, marginalization and vulnerabilities”, focused on how risks are created and perpetuated in today’s interconnected world. He emphasized the challenges posed by systemic, cascading, and complex risks, as well as the need to address inequalities, injustices, marginalization, and vulnerabilities.
