The Naturance consortium is pleased to announce an opportunity to contribute to a focused compendium documenting and analysing the practical application of Nature-based Insurance Solutions (NBIS).

The compendium will provide structured and accessible evidence, supported by empirical case studies, illustrating how insurance instruments can support nature-based solutions and facilitate investment in nature-positive outcomes.

Submissions are invited describing insurance schemes at various stages of development – including conceptual designs, pilot projects, and operational initiatives – that deliver benefits for nature or enable investment in nature-based solutions.

Selected contributions will be included in the NATURANCE digital library and published in a smartPDF compendium on NBIS, with appropriate references to contributing organisations and source materials. The deadline for submissions is 23 January 2026.
