From 15 to 17 September 2025, Naturance took part in the NetworkNature Annual Event – Choose Nature in Brussels, which gathered more than 500 participants on site and online to discuss how to build an economy that works with nature, not against it.
Representing Naturance, Jaroslav Mysiak attended the three-day programme — from the Science-Policy Event to the NbS Task Forces Cluster Meeting — contributing to discussions on how Nature-based Solutions (NbS) can enhance resilience and risk management.
During the Annual Event, he delivered a presentation on integrating insurance and NbS for resilience, highlighting how financial mechanisms can support adaptive, risk-informed approaches to climate challenges. He also presented the CEN Workshop Agreement (CWA), a pre-standard collaboratively developed within the CEN framework, which may serve as the basis for future European or ISO standards on NbS implementation.
Jaro also joined the NN+ Labs Workshop session, engaging participants in a practical dialogue on NbS and resilience, and contributed to the “Why Choose Nature” exhibit, with Naturance’s message:
“We choose nature because it teaches us to manage risk in regenerative, forward-looking ways.”
The event reaffirmed a shared understanding: there is no economy without nature. Reversing biodiversity loss and investing in restoration are not only environmental imperatives, but also economic and social priorities essential to a resilient and sustainable future.
