Join us at our virtual festival where we will explore the potential of financial innovations fostering the adoption of nature-based solutions and nature restoration! The festival will take place from 14th to 15th of June and will feature a series of interactive discussions and events aimed at showcasing the potential of finance and insurance instruments. The webstival will provide opportunities for dialogues, knowledge sharing, and capabilities enhancement, and create a marketplace for matching demand and offer for innovative financial solutions at local and regional scales.
We extend our invitation to all those with an interest in financial innovation and insurance instruments for ecosystem restoration and biodiversity, including public authorities and agencies, businesses, risk and innovation brokers, financial institutions, researchers, and citizens alike. Your participation is vital for exploring new ideas and collaborating on innovative solutions that can contribute to reduce the protection and adaptation finance gap.
We also particularly invite to organizations and knowledge networks that are dedicated to nature-based solutions advocacy, sustainable insurance and investments, climate and disaster risk assessment, and local and regional climate and disaster risk reduction strategies. Your participation would be especially valuable as we aim to create a “network of existing networks” and foster opportunities for dialogues, knowledge sharing, and capabilities enhancement in these important areas.
Don’t miss out on the chance to participate in this exciting event and explore the potential of knowledge networks in driving innovation and creating positive change!
NATURANCE is a coordination and supporting action project funded under the Horizon Europe. The project will examine the feasibility and performance of combining disaster risk financing & investments with nature-based solutions through the creation of nature-based insurance & investment solutions (NBIS). The project aims to organise innovation finance and policy labs, analyse policy and governance conditions, assess risk-reduction performance of NBIS, and build awareness and capabilities for green financial innovations. The project’s ultimate goal is to encourage adoption of jointly elaborated principles, performance metrics, and recommended approaches to analysis and design, in accordance with EU framework for sustainable finance.
