DESCRIPTION:This session explores the integration of risk assessment and insurance coverage with nature-based solutions (NBS) to enhance resilience in cities and regions. Through presentations of the NATURANCE and Urban Infrastructure Insurance Facility (UIIF) projects, participants will learn how these initiatives are addressing urban challenges in Europe and Latin America. The session will be held in Spanish, fostering a dynamic, workshop-style conversation, that will allow attendees to share insights and brainstorm strategies for incorporating NBS and insurance solutions to mitigate risks and build resilience in their own regions. The on-site event is organized in the framework of the UN Biodiversity Conference 2024 (COP16).\n
